When and where is this event?
Our Back to the 80’s Bash is on Saturday, January 21, from 7pm to midnight. We’re excited to have this year’s event at the DoubleTree Bedford Glen. It’s located at 44 Middlesex Turnpike in Bedford. Please use the ballroom entrance.

How much are tickets and where do I get them?
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance. They are $50 each and can be purchased through the Bedford Recreation Department website: click here for tickets. But don’t delay! Online sales end Wednesday, January 18. Tickets are available at the door for $60 each.

Do I have to wear a costume?
Absolutely not! Costumes are optional, but they sure are fun! Some partygoers get into the spirit of the 80’s by donning neon legwarmers or dressing like their favorite 80’s icon, but trust me, a good time is to be had by all no matter what you are wearing!

Are you having a costume contest again this year?
Yes! The categories are Best Female, Best Male, Best Duo, and Best Group. The Academy has Oscar–wait until you see what the BEF has for our lucky winners. Good luck!

Will there be food?
Yes! We will provide a selection of stationary and passed appetizers throughout the evening.

Do I need cash?
The bar and 50/50 raffle are cash only, but we’ve snuck in a little 21st century technology and accept all major credit cards for the raffle, silent auction, and tickets at the door.

Do I have to be a Bedford resident to attend?
No. If you have friends and family who are interested in getting their 80’s on and supporting our schools, bring them along. The more the merrier!

Is this a family event?
No. This event is adults-only. But we are planning a kids-only event in the spring, so be sure to follow us on Facebook to stay updated.

What are you raising funds for anyway?
Great question! The Bedford Education Foundation, established in 2008, provides grants to support innovation and creativity at all four of Bedford’s Public Schools. Find out more about us at bedfordeducation.org.

I have a question about your event. Who should I contact?
Send an email to BEF Co-Presidents Meg McAllister and Jen Kelley at  president@bedfordeducation.org and they will be happy to answer any questions.

We hope to see you there!
