Callahan's Karate Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser
On Saturday, May 30th, Callahan's Karate Studio hosted their 3rd annual charity dodgeball tournament. Teams of five enlisted and competed, with 120 participants in all, including kids, teens, and adults. Participation was open to all, not just karate students. Every year, Callahan's family oriented martial arts center donates all proceeds from the dodgeball tournament to charity. This year, the Bedford Education Foundation (BEF) was chosen to benefit from the evening's activities. Each participant donated $10 to join the competition. The event raised $1400 which will directly benefit the educators in all of Bedford's public schools. Bedford Farms also generously donated gift certificates as prizes. The BEF would like to thank the staff of Callahan's and all the participants for their generous support of education in Bedford.
